Our "Perfect Venue"!

We've played everything from a cramped Irish pub to a big outdoor venue to a nudist resort (no kidding!) so we're pretty adaptable. But if we could pick a perfect venue for a new town, it might look like:

- Room to comfortably seat 100+ happy people.
- Dance "mosh pit" or open space for dancing.
- Serves beer and decent food.
- Owner really WANTS to present music, not just sell beer.
- Stage at least 15'x10'.
- Ideally, a great house PA with mic's, direct-ins and a soundboard/engineer! But we're self-contained and we can bring a full PA and run it where needed.
- Doesn't look and feel like a punk dive (maybe some color used other than black in the decor?)
- Owner/manager is friendly and likes our kind of music.
- Enough parking, and someplace to load in (third-floor gigs with narrow stairwells cost WAY extra)
- Located in a pretty high-traffic area to attract passers-by.

That said, we're willing to compromise. Also, we can do playhouses, auditoriums, concert halls; and don't forget to see if there's a big local music festival coming up that needs bands!

The key to making a venue work, in the end, is how well the promotion works.
